Travel areas permitted are between Brisbane and Byron Bay from Tweed Heads.

Over 17 days, the sands and streets of Surfers Paradise will come alive in a celebration of sand, sea and sport inspired art.

The popular free event features the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships, drawing thousands of spectators to admire some of Australia's and the world's most talented sculptors, as they intricately carve life-sized masterpieces over the course of the weekend. Gold Coast Triathlon – Luke Harrop Memorial is a Triathlon Australia National Championship Event and attracts DOUBLE POINTS as a qualifying event to compete for Australia at the Age Group ITU World Championships in the Gold Coast 12-16 September 2018. Athletes must compete in the Age Group category to qualify points and selection.
